WHY WE NEED SUPPORT

525 Kitchen was built to remove one of the biggest barriers to starting a food business: the cost of space.

​But keeping that barrier low isn’t easy.
We operate as a nonprofit so that:
farmers can afford to turn what they grow into income
new entrepreneurs can start without taking on debt
community members can access inclusive, hands-on cooking classes

At the same time, we serve a region where:

• farmers are under real financial and emotional stress
• many families have limited access to fresh, local food
• starting a food business can feel out of reach

We believe access matters more than perfection.
But access still requires support.

• expand classes and food education programs
• support new and early-stage food businesses
• strengthen the local food system
